Deja states “painting objective imagery opens the door for rapid criticism. The artist can feel disappointed because the audience is not understanding what you initially conceptualize your piece to mean but it leaves room for communication. I enjoy hearing my viewer's perspective of my work, it challenges their emotions. My art helps my audience create a story that relates to them and I find that there is less criticism regarding the art itself. It is easy to find a flaw in the artist's mistakes or at least what you believe a mistake to be. For example, the individual may think; what does in mean, or their lines aren’t straight...in my form of art there is really no right or wrong answer to what it is, especially to each individual who comments ..there aren’t exact figures to pick apart, instead they find colors to relate too. I hope my art promotes feelings in my audience. First nature of emotion.“
